📋 Description
• Provide technical leadership for Malawi project activities integrating faith- and community-based services into government systems. • Strengthen health systems across community, facility, district, and national levels. • Liaise with the FCI consortium global management team on technical and MEL topics. • Strengthen service provision, governance, supervision, quality assurance, supply chain management, and workforce systems. • Lead efforts to strengthen workforce development plans and sustainable supervision and training methodologies. • Provide technical support and guidance to government counterparts and implementing partners on health systems strengthening approaches. • Oversee facility and district assessments and develop action plans addressing service delivery, supervision, human resources, and governance gaps. • Lead technical assistance to strengthen supervision systems, performance reviews, and corrective actions. • Support supply chain forecasting, ordering, stock management, and coordination with national supply systems. • Facilitate sub-partner relationships on program design, technical implementation, and MEL. • Strengthen implementing partner and staff capacity through training, mentoring, coaching, and practical tools. • Document lessons learned, contribute to operational reviews, and use data for continuous improvement. • Collaborate with global partners on monitoring, evaluation, accountability, learning, systems integration, service delivery, and faith-community mobilization. • Supervise staff, monitor work and performance, approve timesheets and time off, and provide Christian spiritual leadership.
🎯 Requirements
• Mature and personal Christian faith • Commitment to World Relief’s mission, vision, and values • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities • Ability to affirm and/or acknowledge World Relief’s Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity, and National Association of Evangelicals’ For the Health of The Nation document • Ten (10) years of related professional experience required • Master’s degree • Strong understanding of health systems strengthening principles and practice • Ability to analyze system gaps and translate findings into practical improvement actions • Strong facilitation, mentoring, and relationship management skills • Ability to work effectively across government, faith-based, and community stakeholders • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency in standard office software and routine reporting tools • Agreement with World Relief’s Values • Ability to contribute a diverse perspective on the FCI team • Ability to work in complex environments with multiple tasks, competing priorities, and short deadlines • Ability to build consensus and work with diverse groups • Experience building capacity among peers for knowledge-sharing products and activities • Ability to travel three times a year • Christian faith is a prerequisite for employment
