WSGR is Wassersportgemeinschaft Rangau e. V. , a community-focused watersports and sailing club based at Brombachsee (Enderndorf) in Germany. The volunteer-run association organizes regattas, training (including youth sailing weeks and catamaran events), social events (summerfest, New Year’s party) and maintains an active membership program welcoming families and non-elitist participation. The club operates as a membership non-profit that promotes recreational and competitive sailing and community activities.

📋 Description

• Independently work with clients to prepare compliance documentation, including export, FCC, and NOAA license applications, classification analyses, technology control plans, registration statements, annual and semi-annual reports, and other compliance program documentation. • Train and oversee the work of case assistants on export controls and FCC licensing. • Track regulatory developments, support engagement with regulators, prepare and edit internal guidance, create client alerts, and other substantive non-billable materials. • Support business development efforts through development of pitch materials, attendance at aerospace and defense industry-focused conferences, and development of client alerts related to national security, trade topics and other regulatory matters. • Support other team projects on an as needed basis. • Maintain compliance with all firm policies and procedures.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate required • 8+ years of relevant experience handling international trade compliance, FCC licensing, and other national security and related regulatory matters in a corporate compliance department or law firm required • Expertise in managing in-house compliance programs, including management of international trade and FCC compliance matters • Experience managing a team of compliance professionals preferred • Must possess a high level of attention to detail and be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines • Stellar project management and organizational skills • Must possess good judgment, intuition and problem solving skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external clients • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).
