• Conducting comprehensive and focused audits in multi-disciplinary clinical practices. • Determining accuracy of coding, documentation, and physician/provider compliance. • Analyzing and interpreting audit data and communicating findings. • Following audit plan/schedule as outlined. • Identifying and selecting audit samples and reviewing medical records. • Researching issues arising from audit findings. • Preparing reports to inform staff of findings and reporting non-compliance issues. • Creating and modifying auditing tools to ensure compliance.
• Associate degree or combination of education and experience may substitute for minimum education. • No specific certification is required. • No specific work experience is required. • Health Care Driver's License: A driver's license is not required for this position. • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and certifications such as Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Nurse - Illinois, Registered Nurse - Missouri. • Skills: Clinical Experience, CMS Regulations, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), HIPAA Regulations, ICD-10 Procedure Coding System, Medical Record Reviews, Spreadsheets, Word Processing, Teamwork.
