📋 Description

• Responsible for overall management of the department’s operations including human resources, payroll, and contractual agreements. • Directs, manages, plans, and coordinates all aspects of services for payroll, employment, compensation, employee relations, compliance, and guidance for development of Managers in the Department. • Develops effective working relationships across multiple levels of the WUSM & WU organizations and may manage cross-functional teams. • Manages payroll processes, ensures timely payment of faculty incentives, manages annual compensation budget, oversees hiring process, manages evaluations, maintains payroll-related reports, oversees non-appointees compliance, leads job descriptions for positions, manages contractual agreements and compliance training.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education. • 5 years of experience in Accounting or Management • Certifications: CPA - American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, CPA - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, CPA - Missouri Division of Professional Registration preferred • 7 years of experience in Purchasing, Government Contracting, Payroll preferred • Skills: Business Relationships, Collaborative Mindset, Computer Literacy, Contract Agreements, Cross-Functional Management, Ethical Practices, Group Presentations, Human Resources (HR), Interpersonal Communication, Leading by Influence, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Negotiation, Oral Communications, Payroll, Personal Initiative, Persuasion, Problem Resolution, Working Independently, Written Communication
