📋 Description
• Ensure accurate and appropriate gathering of information into coding classification systems • Responsible for obtaining accurate and complete documentation in medical record • Codes moderately complex patient classes • Reviews and accurately interprets medical record documentation • Assigns hospital codes to a variety of patient classes • Assures quality and timely coding, charging and abstraction of accounts
🎯 Requirements
• High School Diploma or Equivalent • Current HIM or Coding Certification through AHIMA or AAPC • Two (2) years of hospital coding experience
