📋 Description

• Lead the evaluation and implementation of an API gateway solution for the platform • Consolidate existing pipelines and create a blueprint covering security standards and best practices • Apply and transfer API gateway knowledge across cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) • Contribute to building and operating shared platform capabilities for application development teams

🎯 Requirements

• Broad technical background across application development, cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and platform engineering • Previous experience building or contributing to an Internal Developer Platform, developer portal, or shared cloud platform • Hands-on experience with API gateway technologies such as Kong, Apache APISIX, Envoy, AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management, or similar • Good understanding of API security, authentication and authorization, traffic management, rate limiting, resilience, service discovery, and observability • Strong software engineering skills in Java or Kotlin • Practical experience with cloud platforms, containers, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and observability • Able to work exploratively with incomplete requirements and translate business or technical objectives into implementable solutions • Experience evaluating technical options, creating prototypes, documenting trade-offs, and presenting recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Used to taking end-to-end ownership in agile, cross-functional teams without fully specified tickets • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; very good English (German is a plus)
