📋 Description

• Build and mature Zepto's product security practices • Coach Engineering teams and collaborate to ensure software development life cycles follow security best practices • Design, build, and maintain production-quality security tooling, automation, and paved-road controls • Conduct security assessments and architecture reviews of applications and services • Embed within project teams to assess information security risk and prioritise security controls • Establish and document security architecture and practices with the Security Engineering Lead, Product, and Engineering teams • Support Zepto's adoption of AI and agentic systems • Experiment with AI tooling to improve Security team operations • Help manage application security incidents with the Security team • Work with the Security Engineering Lead to develop Zepto's product security strategy and approach • Provide consultative and advisory guidance and establish self-service capabilities

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to read and write production-level code and build tooling and automation • Software engineering foundation; Go and/or Python preferred, with engineers in any language considered • Experience implementing and maintaining common application security tooling • Hands-on experience automating security controls • Experience working in cloud infrastructure, especially AWS • Proven experience advising engineering teams on security architecture best practices • Active experimentation with, or demonstrated appetite to experiment with, AI and agentic technologies • Interest in securing AI and agentic systems • Strong and empathic communication with technical and non-technical teams • Long-term, permanent status in Australia: Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident • Must not require visa sponsorship; temporary work visas are not considered • Background check required as part of the recruitment process
