📋 Description

• Provide expert technical guidance to engineers, managers, and subcontractors • Support fault diagnosis, complex repairs, and product issues remotely and on-site • Assist with new product launches and readiness across teams • Work with engineering and product teams to improve field performance • Deliver structured training programmes across the product range and competitor equipment • Develop training materials, manuals, and hands-on demonstrations • Lead onboarding and ongoing development for engineers and subcontractors alongside Service Operations Managers and Installation Project Managers • Provide refresher training, upskilling, and targeted coaching • Maintain training records and issue certifications for compliance alongside HR and QHSE • Support Service Sales and Equipment Sales teams with technical knowledge • Conduct on-site assessments, audits, and technical evaluations • Identify skill gaps and develop tailored training plans • Partner with operational leaders to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards • Work with Operations and Service leadership to improve performance • Support initiatives to improve first-time fix rates and customer experience • Coordinate training and site visits with minimal operational disruption • Contribute to national capability and standardisation programmes

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in industrial doors, loading bay equipment, high-speed doors, or roller shutters • Background in field service, engineering, or technical training • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills • Strong communication and coaching ability across all levels • Solid understanding of health & safety legislation and compliance standards • High level of organisation and ability to manage training programmes • Experience with ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems products or similar competitor equipment is advantageous • Experience conducting competency assessments or audits is advantageous • Training or instructional qualifications such as Train the Trainer or PTLLS are advantageous • Full UK driving licence • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office • Willingness to travel extensively across the UK
