📋 Description

• Build AI-powered software and integrate Large Language Model capabilities into production enterprise systems • Design and develop autonomous AI agents, tool-calling systems, and multi-step task orchestration workflows • Leverage MCP or equivalent open integration standards to connect AI models with external platforms and tools • Build and maintain scalable distributed software architectures using REST/gRPC APIs and strong system design principles • Optimize context window management and implement reliability patterns for LLM execution at scale • Execute across the full software lifecycle, from experimentation and rapid prototyping to production support • Collaborate with diverse teams on high-impact AI-powered software projects

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on software engineering, backend systems, or applied AI engineering experience • Advanced proficiency in Python and/or Java for backend development and algorithm execution • Direct, proven experience building AI-powered software or integrating LLMs into enterprise-grade applications • Hands-on experience developing autonomous AI agents and multi-step workflows • Practical experience using Model Context Protocol (MCP), custom tool-calling, or JSON-RPC adapters • Strong grounding in distributed architectures, REST/gRPC API design, and reliability patterns • Proven ownership mindset and ability to navigate rapid experimentation and robust production support • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills • Consistent overlap with teams in Central Time (CT) and availability during standard Austin business hours
