📋 Description

• Execute complex customer-specific recovery procedures to provision hardware, install operating systems, configure servers, and restore operating systems, applications, and data • Manage the work queue, complete assigned tickets and related activities, and provide clear, concise, accurate, and timely updates in the ticketing system • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues on applicable platforms • Mentor Engineer I and Engineer II teammates • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive infrastructure design and strategy and identify infrastructure bottlenecks affecting backup restores • Identify mechanisms to improve operational efficiency • Review technical recovery procedures for clarity and accuracy before recovery or test events • Create, update, and maintain SOPs and the Knowledge Base for assigned recovery technology areas • Lead pre-test calls, capture platform dependencies, and ensure servers or applications are prepared for upcoming tests • Identify and follow escalation procedures • Handle company data and information according to company agreements, procedures, and policies • Complete annual compliance training and policy acknowledgements • Perform additional duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study, or equivalent years of work experience required • 7+ years of technical recovery technology experience in a role involving direct customer contact • Extensive hands-on experience building, troubleshooting, installing, and upgrading more than one recovery technology, such as Backup, Networking, Citrix, VMware and Cloud platforms, IBM iSeries, IBM Mainframe, and Unix and Windows OS • Deep troubleshooting knowledge in at least one OS (MS-Windows / Unix) and Cloud platforms • Operational experience with Storage Area Networks (SAN), Fiber Channel technology, Network Attached Storage (NAS), or external disk storage arrays preferred • Deep expertise of TCP/IP and network technologies and ability to effectively use diagnostic tools • Previous experience with disaster recovery exercises required • Expertise in two or more recovery technologies and willingness to learn new processes and technologies and work toward multi-skilling • Willingness to accommodate additional hours or varying shift types as necessary based on the company’s 24 x 7 global operating model • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills • Must be legally eligible to work in an assigned country without visa sponsorship
