• Manage 350.org’s global portfolio of restricted institutional grants from award through implementation, reporting and closeout • Maintain oversight of grant requirements, deliverables, budgets, timelines and responsibilities • Translate approved proposals, budgets and grant agreements into clear internal requirements • Work with Program and Country teams to monitor progress against grant commitments • Identify implementation, financial, reporting or compliance risks, address issues and escalate significant concerns • Lead preparation of high-quality narrative grant reports • Gather and synthesize inputs from relevant teams • Partner with the Global Finance Manager and Finance team on financial reporting • Monitor expenditure against restricted grant budgets and identify material variances • Manage post-award changes, including grant amendments, budget revisions, extensions and changes to deliverables • Support final development and review of complex restricted proposals, budgets and grant agreements • Develop and improve grants management processes, tools, templates and systems • Maintain accurate grant information in Salesforce and other relevant platforms • Capture and distill accomplishments, results, evidence and learning from grant implementation • Ensure grants are appropriately closed out, including final reporting and other donor requirements • Perform other duties as assigned
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in institutional grants management, awards management, program management or a related field • Demonstrated experience managing complex six- to eight-figure institutional awards through implementation, reporting, and closeout • Experience managing grants involving multiple teams, countries, partners or workstreams • Strong experience preparing high-quality narrative reports for institutional funders and working with grant budgets and financial information • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple grants, priorities and deadlines simultaneously • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify risks, exercise sound judgment and determine when escalation is required • Strong relationship-management and cross-functional working skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and accountability across teams without direct supervisory authority • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex program information clearly and effectively • Experience working with CRM, grants management or related information-management systems • Ability to work effectively in a distributed international organization across countries, cultures, functions, and time zones • Fluency in written and spoken English • Applicants must have the legal authorization to work for any employer in their country of residence • Experience working within an international nonprofit, advocacy or movement-building organization (desired but not required) • Experience developing or improving grants management systems, processes or tools (desired but not required) • Experience supporting knowledge management, organizational learning or evidence capture and applying learning to donor engagement or fundraising (desired but not required) • Familiarity with climate justice, environmental justice, social justice or other progressive movements (desired but not required)
