• Provide high-level subject matter expertise integrating policy and domain knowledge with programs and systems • Analyze complex problems and policies, make recommendations, and develop alternative solutions • Draft and work with design and engineering teams to execute implementation plans • Provide guidance to senior management, teaming partners, government clients, and stakeholders • Research, analyze, and interpret policy, statutes, regulations, and subregulatory guidance • Synthesize policy for clients and stakeholders • Create effective communications and produce high-quality written materials • Communicate policy insights and requirements to UX researchers, designers, product strategists, clients, and other stakeholders • Help teams understand how policy is used and relates to systems or products • Assist with design, development, and implementation strategies for products and services • Build relationships across people, teams, projects, A1M, and clients to improve delivery • Gain buy-in, recognize risks and conflicts, manage up, and escalate when appropriate • Initiate and drive cross-disciplinary projects • Coach and mentor people across practice areas • Anticipate and proactively provide information needed by other practices and disciplines • Identify and respond to government requirements and policies affecting project work, including accessibility, PRA, FOIA, acquisition regulations, and security compliance • Represent the company and team to clients, including in challenging situations
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience • College degree in political science, communications, or a related field • Personal experience with government health and human services programs • Expertise with applying policy expertise, including policy hierarchy and analysis and interpretation of statutes, regulations, and agency guidance, within a team • Working knowledge of Medicare, the ACA, and Medicaid and CHIP • Previous work with and/or within a state or the federal government • Experience with a government health agency, Medicaid agency, and/or similar government agencies or offices • Experience working with distributed, cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, engineers, and subject matter experts • Flexibility pivoting with clients’ evolving strategic priorities • Must work from the United States, including the 50 states, District of Columbia, and US territories • Must have been a resident in the United States for 3 of the past 5 years • Cannot reside in New York state • Must already have legal authorization to work in the US and not require ongoing visa sponsorship • Must be a permanent US resident • Must complete a Public Trust form and applicable SF85 or SF85P questionnaire, including fingerprinting • Flexibility to work hours accommodating partners primarily working Eastern Standard Time • Active participation in client virtual meetings, including being on camera, is required
