📋 Description

• Own 1st-party property losses without limit and exercise settlement authority up to $250,000 in structural damage • Evaluate personal property losses associated with dwelling losses • Handle claims up to policy limits for all 1st-party coverages, including desk claims as needed • Direct loss investigations and collaborate with SIU, Subrogation, Bureau Litigation and Claims Coverage Question Unit representatives • Provide recommendations to management on complex losses • Work with insureds, contractors, public adjusters and attorneys to resolve highly complex claims • Develop structural repair bids using Xactimate • Handle claims across multiple states and understand applicable laws and regulations • Assess building damage, determine repair scope and write estimates to rebuild homes • Negotiate repair costs with insureds, contractors, engineers and public adjusters • Consult outside legal counsel on complex coverage issues • Respond to catastrophe situations outside the normal work area as required • Travel as needed for divisional/team meetings and other in-person meetings • Support company culture through employee resource groups, mentoring, volunteering and cross-functional projects • Fulfill business needs, including investing extra time and helping other teams

🎯 Requirements

• 5-10 years claims experience with preferred emphasis on Homeowner field claims • 3+ years handling Homeowner Total Loss claims • High School (HS) or GED • BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and experience • Proficient with Xactimate or similar estimating system; large estimates experience strongly preferred • In-depth understanding of the home repair process • Outstanding analytical, problem solving, customer service and negotiation skills • Effective organizational and time management skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record • Ability to acquire DOI adjusting license in the states where required • Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the United States • CSAA does not provide visa sponsorship; applicants must not require immigration support
