📋 Description

• Maintain, control, analyze, reconcile, and research financial activities impacting general ledger accounts • Coordinate inputs to the company’s general ledger system with Systems and relevant administrative teams • Process and analyze internal and external reinsurance transactions • Complete timely and accurate general ledger account reconciliations • Develop financial models using OneStream for financial statements and analysis • Maintain subsidiary ledgers under statutory accounting principles and GAAP • Prepare monthly analyses, reports, and audit schedules • Analyze computer output, identify discrepancies and errors, and initiate corrective action • Verify account balances and ensure reconciling items are cleared timely • Balance and audit accounting transactions for multi-company and multi-state operations • Resolve reconciliation problems with business units, departments, and banks • Participate in modifying data systems for compliance and financial integrity • Develop and maintain job documentation and procedures • Process complex financial calculations for analysis or general ledger input • Reconcile deposit and disbursement accounts to bank statements and corporate product systems

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience • 2–4 years of experience in an accounting or finance function • Hands-on experience with automated accounting systems and data processing • Experience with general ledger accounting, account analysis, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations • Application of GAAP • Advanced proficiency in Excel and spreadsheet reporting • Ability to convey complex information clearly through written and verbal communication • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team • Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed to meet deadlines • Experience balancing ledgers and supporting accounting systems • Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems • Prior experience in a deadline-driven, project-based environment • Must not currently require or may require employer-sponsored immigration support, including H-1B, TN, and STEM OPT
