📋 Description

• Develop and maintain the Spacetime platform using C++, Golang, Java, gRPC, and Protocol Buffers • Build scalable, distributed systems on Kubernetes • Develop Spacetime features for 5G NTN and Direct-to-Cell orchestration • Implement RIC/SMO capabilities for the NTN, network model extensions, and federation APIs for TN-NTN coordination • Translate 3GPP and O-RAN concepts and interface specifications into clean, well-tested software with solution architects • Integrate with other Aalyria platform components for end-to-end functionality • Develop and maintain software design and implementation documentation • Stay up-to-date with 5G NTN, O-RAN, and satellite communications technologies • Write clean, maintainable, efficient code • Troubleshoot and debug software issues • Design and build distributed systems in a modern, cloud-native codebase • Work with 3GPP/NTN solution architects on standards and systems expertise

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent work experience • Professional experience working in C++, Golang, and/or Java • Knowledge of gRPC and Protocol Buffers • Experience building and operating distributed systems • Familiarity with wireless communications, modeling of wireless performance, or satellite communications • Strong technical communication skills and ability to communicate across multiple functions • Applicants must meet U.S. government export-control eligibility requirements: qualify as a U.S. person, be eligible to access export-controlled information without export authorization, or be eligible and reasonably likely to obtain the necessary export authorization • Preferred: Professional software development experience on systems related to 3GPP 4G/5G networks • Preferred: Hands-on experience with O-RAN architecture, including SMO, Non-RT/Near-RT RIC, rApps, xApps, or O-RAN interfaces • Preferred: Familiarity with 3GPP NTN and Direct-to-Cell / Supplemental Coverage from Space concepts • Preferred: Experience implementing or integrating 3GPP or O-RAN APIs and data models • Preferred: Experience with wireless standards work or applying 3GPP/ETSI/O-RAN specifications in production software • Preferred: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native telecom deployments • Preferred: Professional experience optimizing distributed-system performance • Preferred: Experience in aerospace & defense or telecommunications • Preferred: Familiarity with software-defined networking platforms
