• Handle clinical, technical, and scientific inquiries from internal and external clients regarding precision oncology products • Provide clinical expertise to laboratory staff and molecular geneticists on accessioning inquiries, test order modifications, and results interpretation • Collaborate with molecular geneticists and other departments to deliver timely, high-quality test results • Assist with marketing materials, website content, scientific meetings, industry conferences, and networking with genetic counselors • Develop educational materials and provide public speaking for client and public education • Maintain professional certification through ongoing education • Facilitate intake and implementation of special projects • Perform specialized tasks beyond standard genetic counselor duties • Assist with training genetic counseling assistants • Uphold company mission, values, and Quality Management System policies and procedures • Maintain regular and reliable attendance • Act with an inclusion mindset and model inclusive behaviors
• Master’s Degree Genetic Counseling • ABGC/CCGC Board Certified or eligible • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship • 2+ years experience in an Oncology Genetics clinical role preferred • Experience with multiple oncology-related genomic technologies such as tumor NGS, ctDNA, and Molecular Residual Disease assays preferred • Deep and broad knowledge of human genetics • General understanding of personalized health care, clinical genetics, laboratory medicine, and informatics • Ability to communicate complex information simply to broad audiences • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills • Ability to analyze complex problems • Excellent verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills • Demonstrated skill in setting priorities and multi-tasking • Demonstrated ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodation • Ability to work designated schedule • Ability to perform required laboratory and computer tasks, including sitting or standing up to 50 minutes per hour • Visual and hearing acuity required for laboratory and computer work • Ability to maneuver throughout the building • Ability to work within standard office and genetic testing laboratory areas
• Ongoing education to maintain professional certification • Some local and overnight travel to meet clients and attend conferences
