📋 Description

• Handle clinical, technical, and scientific inquiries from internal and external clients regarding genetic testing • Provide clinical expertise to laboratory staff and molecular geneticists on accessioning inquiries, test order modifications, and results interpretation • Collaborate with molecular geneticists and other departments to provide timely, high-quality test results • Assist with marketing materials, website content, scientific meetings, industry conferences, and networking with genetic counselors • Develop educational materials and support public speaking for client and public education • Maintain professional certification through ongoing education • Facilitate intake and implementation of special projects • Perform specialized tasks beyond standard genetic counselor duties • Assist with training genetic counseling assistants • Identify and report problems or issues to the Clinical Inquiry Specialist Manager • Uphold company mission and values and support Quality Management System policies and procedures

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s Degree Genetic Counseling • ABGC/CCGC Board Certified or eligible • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship • 2+ years experience in a Pediatric, Prenatal, MFM/NICU, or Adult (Cardio/Neuro) Genetics clinical role preferred • Experience with whole genome and whole exome testing preferred • Deep and broad knowledge of human genetics • General understanding of personalized health care, clinical genetics, laboratory medicine, and informatics • Ability to communicate complex information simply to broad audiences • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills • Ability to analyze complex problems • Excellent verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills • Skill in setting priorities and multitasking • Ability to comply with Quality Management System policies and procedures • Regular and reliable attendance • Visual, hearing, sitting/standing, and building-mobility capabilities required • Ability to work designated schedule • Willingness and ability to work within standard office and genetic testing laboratory areas
