📋 Description

• Serve as the primary champion and geography quarterback for the assigned region • Set direction for AbbVie’s market access objectives • Oversee regional activities and act as principal liaison for top-tier customers • Develop and implement local market access strategies and influence maps • Identify influential access customers, emerging channels, and key players • Collaborate with the Area Access Director on direct Area customer contracts • Ensure contracting complies with AbbVie’s Area Market Access strategy and goals • Manage ongoing customer relationships and resolve issues • Coordinate with Centers of Excellence, Area Directors, Area Strategists, FRMs, MOSLs, and Patient Support Services • Identify regional growth opportunities and recommend initiatives to expand access and deepen customer relationships • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity • Monitor and report key performance indicators • Use data analytics, including MABI, to assess contract effectiveness and refine performance

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field • 5+ years of sales management experience; District Manager or Regional Manager preferred • Account management and/or marketing experience in healthcare or a related business • 2+ years of account management experience within a Group Practice/Payor/Institutional environment strongly preferred • Proven ability to operate effectively in a large, complex geography and influence diverse stakeholders • Contract negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and commercial results experience • Ability to manage cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization • Valid driver's license • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements • Willingness and ability to travel 25% of the time, including to on-site customer locations and AbbVie's Chicago headquarters • Must be located within the region, ideally near a large airport • Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, etc.) preferred • In-depth knowledge of regional payer landscapes, healthcare policies, and key customer types preferred • Proficiency in data analytics and strategy/decision-making tools preferred
