📋 Description

• Serve as an alternative in-office resource addressing healthcare provider questions about patient access • Call directly on healthcare provider offices within an assigned geography • Educate healthcare providers on patient support programs, access and reimbursement tools, and services • Educate on product-specific acquisition and access options, including specialty pharmacy networks, specialty distribution, and white-bagging support • Provide local expertise on national and regional payer policies, coding changes, and claims submission processes • Advise healthcare providers on prescription status and program eligibility • Liaise with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement support center to update providers • Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and Market Access account management teams • Establish and maintain relationships with providers within the territory • Remain current on managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience required • Strong track record of leadership within current role • Strong understanding and ability to communicate technical coding and billing requirements at national and regional levels across all settings of care • Comprehensive understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D and associated reimbursement dynamics • Strong understanding of drug acquisition and dispensing, including specialty pharmacies, specialty distributors, and white-bagging • Understanding of rules, regulations, and risks associated with reimbursement support services • Understanding of access and reimbursement support service centers and compliant interaction practices • Valid driver’s license • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements • Ability to satisfy applicable health care industry representative credentialing requirements, including potential background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses • Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain required HCIR credentials
