📋 Description

• Lead day-to-day Scrum activities including planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives • Review business requirements and user stories; lead task breakdown and estimation • Provide alternative solutions and negotiate with Product Management • Own small to mid-sized engineering/QA projects or product areas • Define and oversee test automation and quality delivery for the squad • Review teammates' work for quality, architecture, and best-practice adherence • Identify architectural or testability changes required by new designs • Troubleshoot and reproduce customer-found issues • Supervise QA vendor resources when needed • Integrate AI and Generative AI tooling into QA processes • Apply AI-assisted test generation, test data generation, defect triage, predictive quality analysis, and intelligent test maintenance • Architect and implement UI visual regression testing capabilities • Configure visual comparison tooling and integrate it into CI/CD pipelines • Define baseline management, screenshot comparison, and visual-diff tolerance standards • Partner with frontend engineers and designers on visual test coverage and accessibility • Drive visual testing as a quality gate • Lead DORA metrics measurement and improvement initiatives • Establish DORA reporting, targets, and dashboards • Address quality and process bottlenecks through automation, test coverage, and CI/CD optimization • Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering teams • Develop automation code, reusable test components, architecture documentation, and quality plans • Support build, deployment, and monitoring processes with emphasis on security, performance, and scalability • Evaluate test tooling and emerging QA technologies

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software QA Engineering, or related field (or equivalent industry experience) • 6+ years of software development or SDET experience with a strong automation focus • Strong proficiency in TypeScript • Strong understanding of unit, integration, and load testing • Significant full life cycle system development experience • Experience with application lifecycle management tools such as JIRA • Knowledge of version control, work item tracking, and continuous integration • Hands-on REST API testing experience • Strong knowledge of BDD/TDD methodologies • Familiarity with SQL databases and queries • Experience with exploratory testing • Experience with CI/CD tools • Hands-on experience with Generative AI tools applied to software engineering or QA workflows • Experience implementing UI visual regression and comparison testing frameworks in CI/CD pipelines • Experience leading or contributing to DORA metrics measurement and improvement • Experience applying different techniques, tools, and approaches based on context • Experience testing microservice-oriented and distributed systems with fail-safe requirements • Experience with shift-left and shift-right testing techniques • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail • Excellent communication and influencing skills • Knowledge of performance tuning, scalability, security, reliability, and non-functional testing • Nice to have: AI-powered test generation, LLM prompt engineering, agentic-IDE practices, security/performance testing, engineering metrics programs, fitness/wellness products, and multi-tenant SaaS products
