📋 Description

• Develop, administer, and support BI solutions and the supporting cloud data and analytics environment. • Work with data engineering teams, business partners, and BI team leads to ensure solutions meet objectives. • Oversee project delivery and day-to-day support activities. • Design and develop upstream database objects, Power BI semantic models, reports, dashboards, apps, and AI-enabled analytics solutions. • Administer and support the Azure and Power BI cloud environment. • Monitor platform usage, Fabric capacity utilization, performance, reliability, and cost. • Develop and maintain notebooks and automation solutions that dynamically scale Fabric capacities based on usage and business demand. • Provide technical requirements for upstream database, cloud platform, and Power BI objects. • Support and continuously improve BI tools, cloud technologies, and operational processes. • Communicate estimates, updates, and project status with Project Management and project participants. • Work in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment. • Document and establish standards, design patterns, operational procedures, and best practices.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a BI engineering role, specifically with Power BI. • 2+ years of experience developing database objects and views optimized for reporting. • Experience administering or supporting Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI Service, or similar cloud-based analytics platforms. • Experience monitoring platform usage, capacity, performance, and reliability and developing automation through notebooks, scripting, or related technologies. • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills. • Experience in the retail industry, with a focus on analytics, architecture, and/or BI. • Strong understanding of data management principles. • Strong expertise with DAX and SQL. • Ability to identify usage scenarios and patterns for BI solutions and translate them into scalable platform designs. • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and 3+ years of experience with analytics technologies within a large-scale organization. • Self-starter, collaborative, curious, highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to a strong work ethic. • Experience designing and building BI semantic layer models in an Agile environment. • Hands-on experience with cloud technologies; Microsoft Azure, Fabric, and Power BI experience is preferred. • Experience working with end users in a support-focused environment. • Experience with new system implementations and change management. • Demonstrated ability to embrace innovation, drive continuous improvement, and challenge existing paradigms.
