📋 Description

• Own media relations end to end across tier 1, security trades, and non-traditional media • Set strategy for product launches, news announcements, and threat intelligence coverage • Build and maintain prioritized relationships with AI and cybersecurity reporters • Run day-to-day pitching, background briefings, trend pitches, and story planting • Position executives as go-to sources on behavioral AI security • Monitor the media landscape and news cycle to identify reactive commentary opportunities • Create tier 1 media Q&As and bylines • Serve as a second writer/editor on press releases and executive messaging • Prepare executives for interviews and shape media stories • Write bylines and statements in executives' voices • Partner with Marketing, Threat Intel Marketing, and Customer Marketing to source storytelling opportunities • Work with Communications leadership and cross-functional partners as an individual contributor

🎯 Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in media relations or public relations • Demonstrated relationships at tier 1 tech or business outlets • Track record of proactive, relationship-driven media work • Strong judgment on newsworthiness and what is safe to say publicly, especially under time pressure • Excellent writing; comfortable drafting or editing press releases, Q&As, and bylines • Comfortable working directly with senior executives and writing in an executive voice on their behalf • Ability to set strategy and operate autonomously, with strong ownership and execution follow-through • Collaborative mindset and ability to set direction for other team members • Familiarity with cybersecurity, AI, or enterprise SaaS • Experience with podcasts, newsletters, or other non-traditional/creator-driven media • Experience managing or directing an external public relations agency • Experience supporting executive communications or C-suite media training • Background in a fast-moving, high-growth environment
