• Provide expert field-based access and reimbursement support to healthcare providers for on-label access-related questions regarding company products • Act as a liaison among healthcare providers, specialty pharmacies, payers, patients, hub services, and internal cross-functional teams • Educate healthcare providers on programs, processes, access requirements, coverage pathways, prior authorization, specialty pharmacy coordination, appeals, hub resources, and patient support services • Prevent and address access and reimbursement issues through education, problem-solving, and issue resolution • Build and maintain access-related relationships with healthcare provider accounts, office support staff, and pharmacy staff • Apply market knowledge to navigate patient access processes and coverage and reimbursement requirements • Escalate local payer issues to National Account Managers and PAM Leads • Collaborate cross-functionally to simplify complex issues and improve customer experience • Provide pre-referral and post-referral educational in-services and support referral monitoring • Support continuity of patient access through reauthorization education, payer transition assistance, and program services • Guide offices through prior authorizations, appeals, and financial support options • Provide expertise on regional and national payer plans to team members and PAM Leads • Support national initiatives improving access and reimbursement strategies across brands • Manage appropriate utilization of patient support services and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in life sciences preferred • Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical sales, market access, national accounts, or specialty pharmacy • Deep expertise in access and reimbursement strategies • Medicare expertise strongly preferred • Strong background and understanding of field environment in healthcare industry • Equivalent combination of relevant education and applicable job experience may be considered • Experience working with provider offices such as physician practice, patient assistance programs, or similar pharmaceutical support programs strongly preferred • Understand HIPAA rules and regulations related to patient privacy • Strong written and verbal communications and presentation skills • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint • Ability to manage expenses within allocated budgets • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly • Ability to travel up to 60% • Ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, seeing, talking, and hearing; occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds
