📋 Description

• Service customer needs by accurately billing customer accounts and assuring timely remittance • Take immediate action on issues involving account integrity • Follow up with payers to facilitate uninterrupted cash flow • Answer questions from customers, clerical staff, and insurance companies • Identify and resolve patient billing complaints • Handle customer collection calls • Document activities in the ERP system accurately and timely • Ensure billing activity is handled correctly • Prepare and review clean claims for electronic or paper submission to various insurers • Provide feedback to the Group Team Lead regarding account issues • Contribute to specific objectives and outcomes as directed

🎯 Requirements

• Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to practice proper phone and email etiquette • Skilled in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner • Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions • Familiar with medical terminology and insurances HCPC/ICD-9 codes • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook • Ability to evaluate and secure needed Rx’s, PA’s and medical justification to facilitate payment of claims • Ability to edit and resubmit claims for payment • Conducts routine tasks under clearly defined guidelines
