📋 Description

• Lead and mentor the accounting team for assigned clients • Motivate the team to provide best-in-class service • Provide coaching, timely feedback, and staff reviews • Understand each client’s unique business and accounting needs • Provide strategic leadership for scalable accounting operations • Ensure internal control systems, policies, and procedures are followed • Manage month-end closing and monthly financial report issuance • Partner with client leadership on operational and strategic decisions • Address client accounting requests and questions with appropriate follow-up, scope, prioritization, and delegation • Develop annual client budgets and maintain cash forecasting tools • Monitor budget performance and recommend adjustments • Develop and review financial and operating metrics and KPI dashboards • Identify budget variances and report significant variances • Analyze financial and operational data and implement actions based on findings • Identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities • Provide actionable insights to senior leadership • Conduct regular client conference calls to review strategy, needs, and operational changes • Assist with tax-related information gathering • Coordinate information for external audits • Comply with local, state, and federal reporting requirements • Review and approve monthly and quarterly tax filings • Complete special projects requested by clients • Report to an Assistant Director

🎯 Requirements

• Outsourced accounting experience • Transferable knowledge in accounting and financial analysis for businesses in the $5M to $25M market • 10 years of supervisory experience • Manufacturing industry experience, including strong inventory experience, ideally • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance • CPA license, CMA, or MBA preferred • Adaptive leadership style and passion for mentoring staff • Proven expertise managing accounting functions for small to medium-sized enterprises • Ability to adapt to changing priorities • Technical and analytical ability to handle complex issues and find creative solutions • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills • Strong experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, and/or other accounting software • Ability to learn new technologies • Ability to make quick decisions based on knowledge and experience • Ability to operate within established standards and guidelines • Ability to acclimate to various client environments • High degree of computer literacy • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel • Ability to travel when necessary • Must submit a resume and cover letter including salary requirements
