📋 Description

• Provide leadership and coordination of property financial statements for a group of clients • Supervise accounting for a specific team of accountants • Ensure delivery of financial statements by required client delivery dates • Communicate with clients about property financial performance and accounting questions • Ensure accuracy of financial statements prepared by the accounting team • Supervise review of rent rolls, bank reconciliations, and monthly operating results against budget • Coordinate preparation and approval of property financial budgets with operational team members • Coordinate with the Controller, CFO, and other Assistant Controllers on departmental goals, policies, and procedures • Participate in hiring and annual performance reviews for Senior Accountants, Accountants, and Junior Accountants • Manage efficiency and make staffing recommendations to meet performance metrics • Support responses to financial audit requests and recommend procedural improvements • Travel is not required

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance • CPA Eligible or CPA Preferred • Previous 3rd party multi-family property management experience • Previous experience leading or managing a team of accountants • Excellent critical reasoning, quantitative, and analytical skills • Deep understanding of financial concepts • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail • This is a safety-sensitive position and may be subject to additional compliance requirements
