📋 Description

• Counsel clients or patients individually and/or in family sessions • Make internal referrals to IOP when there is little to no improvement within 8 weeks of outpatient therapy • Guide clients in developing skills or strategies to address problems • Develop and implement treatment plans with SMART goals within 72 hours after intake • Update or modify treatment plans every 4 weeks • Complete and maintain client paperwork, diagnostic records, and progress notes • Develop progress notes within 48 hours after every session • Prepare and maintain required treatment records and reports • Evaluate clients' physical or mental condition based on client information • Collaborate with staff on clinical assessments and treatment plans within 2 days of establishing care • Refer patients, clients, or family members to community resources or specialists as needed • Stay current in counseling developments through professional literature, courses, seminars, and contact with social service agencies

🎯 Requirements

• Master's Degree from an accredited college or university • Two years of professional level experience in a counselor setting • Active Licensed Professional Counselor license in Virginia is required • Cross-licensure in Texas is required prior to starting • Minimum client load of 18 hours per week • Preferred: 2+ years experience in healthcare with oncology • Preferred: 1 year experience in Telehealth Settings
