📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact for multiple clients • Manage workflow and coordinate work among Senior Controllers, Controllers, Accounting Managers, Staff Accountants, and Management Company team members • Set up and run recurring client check-in calls covering status, open items, and upcoming operational needs • Respond thoughtfully and professionally to ad hoc client requests within 24 hours • Reconcile banking transactions, prepare journal entries, and maintain general ledgers in Xero according to US GAAP • Oversee accounting activities performed by junior team members • Drive the month-end close process and raise follow-up questions as appropriate • Reconcile and maintain investment information for fund investments • Prepare and/or review quarterly financial statements, including partners’ capital allocations • Use FundPanel to send investor correspondence regarding capital contributions, distributions, and quarterly reporting • Update FundPanel for fund activity and investments • Coordinate audit-material preparation and manage year-end financial statement audit and tax work • Delegate tasks using a risk-based approach and review junior team members’ work • Assist Senior Controllers and Controllers with complex or higher-risk tasks • Identify personal training needs and pursue professional development • Coach and guide junior team members and identify team training needs

🎯 Requirements

• Approximately 3-5 years of experience in the alternative asset industry • Venture Capital and/or Private Equity experience preferred • External auditor experience, CPA certification, or MBA a plus • In-depth understanding of US GAAP and partnership accounting, including complex allocation waterfalls • Experience in a client-facing role leading engagements on multiple clients • Strong problem-solving skills • Passion for mentoring and coaching team members • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems such as Xero or QuickBooks • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. • Must be willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local law and regulations • Must not require employment visa sponsorship
