📋 Description

• Negotiate, draft, and interpret key commercial contracts supporting IT, finance, travel, and human resources • Handle complex global and cross-border contracts, including master services agreements, artificial intelligence agreements, software license agreements, SaaS agreements, and related documentation • Independently negotiate contractual language with third-party vendors and counsel • Develop creative solutions to complex and novel contractual issues • Manage internal attorneys responsible for commercial contract work • Collaborate with procurement, corporate teams, law department colleagues, and business operations staff throughout contract reviews • Establish and maintain agreement processes, best practices, guidance materials, controls, and standard contract forms • Work with internal corporate leaders to establish positions on contractual terms and acceptable risk allocations • Provide rapid, practical, business-oriented contract advice to business clients • Attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location

🎯 Requirements

• Juris doctorate from an accredited law school • At least 9 years of commercial and transactional law experience in firm and/or in-house environments • Experience supporting IT and digital transformation functions • Experience with artificial intelligence, software licensing agreements, and SaaS agreements • Experience managing internal team members, including attorneys • Strong analytical, interpersonal, drafting, negotiation, and written/verbal communication skills • Excellent judgment and ability to balance competing priorities and meet tight deadlines • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy • Proven ability to lead transactions and projects • Ability to proactively identify and resolve problems • Ability to work in a highly confidential environment with high standards of ethics and professional integrity • Member in good standing with the State Bar of their residence • Preferred: experience within corporate environments of similar size and complexity, including global organization experience • Preferred: practical team player with a sense of humor and ability to professionally collaborate in a results-oriented environment • Must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship for US work authorization is not available
