📋 Description

• Counsel Product, Marketing, and business teams throughout the product lifecycle on legal and regulatory requirements and risks • Identify legal and regulatory risks and propose creative, business-focused mitigation solutions • Draft and negotiate commercial agreements • Create and enforce data privacy policies, procedures, and guidelines • Oversee data governance, data mapping, and retention policies • Ensure vendors comply with data privacy and security requirements • Monitor relevant industry and consumer protection laws and regulations • Partner with Marketing and go-to-market teams to ensure consumer-facing materials comply with requirements • Partner with the broader Legal & Compliance team on corporate and enterprise initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a product counsel role at a law firm or in-house legal department • Experience working specifically on regulatory compliance in a law firm or in-house corporate environment • Knowledge and application of RESPA, UDAAP, CCPA, GDPR, TCPA, and GLBA • Digital fluency or willingness to learn new technology • High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel • Candidates must be based in the U.S. • Ability to sit for long periods of time • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
