📋 Description

• Support AECOM’s growing Power Delivery Practice in the U.S. • Perform technical tasks on high- and medium-voltage projects for municipal, utility, commercial, and industrial clients • Work on substation retrofits and new builds, overhead and underground transmission, distributed generation, renewable energy, and energy master planning projects • Work independently with limited direct supervision to create and maintain complete electrical design sets • Interpret and incorporate engineering red lines, markups, and instructions into CAD drawings and electrical 3D models • Analyze issues, identify solutions, and coordinate with engineering staff • Develop and manage 3D models for electrical systems, including substation equipment layouts, conduit routing, cable tray systems, and device placements • Produce electrical construction drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules, diagrams, and schematics • Revise drawings based on engineering feedback, RFIs, change orders, and construction site markups • Ensure drawings comply with company/client drafting and BIM standards, client requirements, applicable codes, and industry best practices • Maintain version control and file management for CAD and 3D model files throughout the project lifecycle • Provide training and technical support to design staff on the building information modeling system • Assist with quality control through self/model health checks and peer reviews

🎯 Requirements

• BA/BS in Engineering or related field + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Experience in high voltage electrical CAD/BIM design • Masters Degree in Engineering or related field preferred • Demonstrated experience in participating complex, multi-discipline programs/projects and CAD teams • Experience in Revit 3D modeling environments, specifically for Substation Design • Experience in creating and managing BIM execution plans or model matrix • Knowledge of Omni Class and WBS applications • Familiarity with the National Electric Code and other relevant codes • Confidence utilizing Autodesk 2D • Familiarity with Bentley MicroStation • Experience working in collaborative model environments, such as Navisworks and Revizto • Experience in the management of Common Data Environments including ProjectWise and ACC/Forma (Autodesk Construction Cloud) • Understanding of vendor documentation and its use as a reference for assigned tasks • Exposure to substation facilities, including equipment, layouts and designs • Ability to work successfully within a team environment and communicate effectively with project team members • Excellent attention to detail • Must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future • Relocation is not available
