• Support the Minneapolis architecture and engineering practice as a Project Controller • Ensure assigned client projects meet financial, schedule, and performance targets • Review performance trends and prepare cost-impact analyses and monthly project performance reports • Recommend contractor invoices for approval • Prepare cost reports tracking actual and committed subcontractor/vendor costs against budgets • Update forecasts using earned value, project-team discussions, and other tools • Establish project budgets from proposal estimates and assist Project Managers with project setup and execution • Coordinate development of effective Work Breakdown Structures • Communicate budget, cost, and schedule analyses to Project Managers and project leaders • Identify issues and successes and develop recovery plans when required • Lead meetings with project teams, Project Approvers, and Finance & Accounting • Assist procurement with purchase orders and subcontract agreements • Monitor subcontractor/vendor spending against commitments and budgets • Complete payment-release paperwork and track payments to subcontractors • Assist Project Managers with Salesforce entries and updates • Liaise with subcontractors regarding progress, schedules, and contract administration • Monitor KPIs including earned value, cost and schedule performance, estimate to completion, and project end dates • Track unbilled amounts, invoicing, and aged accounts receivable and report to management • Maintain data quality for forecast end dates and monthly/quarterly estimates to completion • Review client invoices and establish invoice schedules according to contract terms • Prepare and submit monthly reports for internal and external clients • Read and interpret client contracts and subcontracts regarding scope, schedule, budget, and risk • Coordinate with Project Managers to meet contractual requirements • Communicate with clients about invoicing, payment, contract, and reporting requirements
• BA/BS + 4 years of related experience in project controls or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • US Citizenship required • Strong Microsoft Excel skills • Ability to lead the project controls function on small and large projects across a large project portfolio • Effective communication and ability to work with teams • Preferred: engineering, construction management, or related-field experience with 8+ years of relevant project controls experience • Preferred: detailed knowledge of project planning and scheduling methods, practices, and earned value • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, basic Federal Contract Requirements • Sponsorship is not available now or in the future
