📋 Description

• Lead architectural design for large-scale hyperscale cloud data center and colocation projects from early concept through construction administration and closeout • Collaborate with internal engineering disciplines, construction teams, and external stakeholders on coordinated and integrated design solutions • Develop and review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation • Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client design guidelines • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and permitting authorities • Serve as the architectural subject matter expert for hyperscale and colocation clients • Ensure operational efficiency, scalability, and reliability in facility design • Mentor and guide junior architects and designers • Apply industry best practices and data center design trends • Support business development, proposal writing, and conceptual architectural designs for new pursuits • Travel occasionally for client meetings, key project milestones, onsite collaboration sessions, or other business-critical activities • Work with global AECOM teams on high-profile data center projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Demonstrated experience with colocation and hyperscale data center projects • Knowledge of building codes, mission critical infrastructure standards, and data center design requirements • Experience with BIM ACC (Revit), AutoCAD, and related design tools • Active U.S. Architectural license (preferred) • LEED accreditation or equivalent sustainable design credentials (preferred) • 5+ years of experience working with hyperscale client standards and colocation facility delivery models (preferred) • Experience working in fast-paced, global project environments (preferred) • Extensive experience working with permitting authorities and AHJs (preferred) • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary and geographically diverse teams • Sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization is not available now or in the future • Willingness to attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location
