📋 Description

• Lead the design and development of water and wastewater process solutions • Produce and review process engineering deliverables, including PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances and technical specifications • Provide technical leadership, solve complex engineering challenges and support project delivery • Participate in and contribute to HAZOP, HAZID and other process safety reviews • Prepare process safety documentation, including Hazardous Area Classification and LoPA assessments • Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations, standards and industry best practice • Collaborate with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams • Support Southern Water’s £4.8bn investment programme across water and wastewater projects from concept through delivery

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry/Biological Science • Chartered status, or demonstrable learning and development on course to achieve chartered status • Water industry experience • Ability to design and develop water and wastewater process solutions • Experience producing and reviewing PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances and technical specifications • Ability to provide technical leadership and solve complex engineering challenges • Experience participating in HAZOP, HAZID and other process safety reviews • Experience preparing Hazardous Area Classification and LoPA assessments • Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards and industry best practice • Ability to work with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
