📋 Description

• Perform structural design and analysis for multiple data center buildings, including hyperscale and colocation facilities • Develop design documentation for tilt-up concrete panels, precast structures, steel framing systems, and deep and shallow foundations • Coordinate design deliverables with architectural, civil, MEP, and construction teams • Prepare construction documents, specifications, and calculations • Ensure quality, code compliance, and technical excellence • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers • Engage with clients, contractors, and review authorities on technical queries and design clarifications • Support business development, proposal writing, and conceptual structural design for new pursuits • Travel as needed for client meetings, site visits, and other project-related activities • Collaborate with global AECOM teams on high-profile data center projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Licensed U.S. Professional Engineer (PE or SE) • 5+ years of professional experience in building structures design and analysis • Experience with data center, mission critical, or large-scale logistics/industrial facilities • Experience with BIM ACC (Revit), ETABS, RISA, RAM, SAP2000, and SAFE • Experience with precast concrete systems, steel design, seismic design, and foundation systems • Demonstrated experience with low embodied carbon materials and sustainable structural design approaches • Ability to interpret and apply national and local building codes • Preferred: 3+ years of experience with data center facilities and familiarity with data center-specific design standards and structural resiliency requirements • Preferred: LEED, Envision, or active leadership in SE 2050 implementation • Expertise in low embodied carbon materials, sustainable structural systems, and emerging industry best practices • Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary and geographically diverse teams • Relocation is not available • Sponsorship is not available
