📋 Description

• Represent AES Clean Energy on wind, solar, and energy storage projects while supporting project finance and engineering efforts • Promote safety across projects and onsite • Support Origination, Procurement, Development, and M&A teams for new projects • Draft and edit contracts relating to technical requirements • Review production estimates and evaluate wind turbine site suitability • Support project teams to ensure quality installation and maintenance across the portfolio • Review engineering plans and technical documentation for comment and approval • Work with construction teams to meet technical, banking, Independent Engineering, and AES standards • Collect, organize, review, and distribute engineering and construction deliverables to Independent Engineering firms • Support operating facilities and participate in root-cause analysis for failed equipment • Support technical due diligence for tax equity and construction debt financing • Assist with Independent Engineer selection • Review Independent Engineer reports and construction site visit and supplement reports • Coordinate and attend construction site visits with EPCs, Independent Engineers, investors, and financiers • Manage multiple project timelines and Independent Engineer report issuances • Respond to engineering and other diligence questions from Independent Engineers and investors • Identify and resolve or mitigate risks • Coordinate production-estimate updates based on Independent Engineer feedback • Lead engineering modeling initiatives related to financial models • Coordinate with legal teams and Independent Engineers on certificates and reliance letters

🎯 Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field • 5+ years professional experience in wind turbine project design, development, and construction • Experience with wind project construction, quality control activities and investor site visits • Experience with debt or tax equity financing practices, terminology, and requirements • Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical topics to a non-engineering audience • Project and case management skills, including a strong aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines • Comfort with NEC and NESC code, as well as related codes such as IBC and NFPA 855 • Graduate degree in Engineering (plus qualification) • Professional Engineer qualification (plus qualification) • WTG Climb Training and Safety certification (plus qualification) • OSHA 10-hr or comparable job-site safety certification (plus qualification)
