📋 Description

• Support MX and Routing Director platforms in a large-scale service provider environment • Assist customers with network deployment planning • Develop implementation plans • Perform testing of network solutions • Collaborate with resident engineers, internal teams, and customers • Serve as the customer's primary point of contact for operational issues • Engage Juniper Technical Assistance Centers (JTAC) to resolve issues • Open cases, provide requested data, perform advanced troubleshooting, and document resolutions • Communicate case status updates and deliver root cause analyses • Provide formal and informal technology briefings and training sessions • Travel approximately 25% to customer locations and other sites as needed

🎯 Requirements

• US Citizenship required • Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance required • Minimum 7+ years of hands-on network engineering experience • Experience in engineering design, operations, and support in large-scale ISP or medium-to-large-scale data center networks • Deep understanding of routing and switching technologies, including EVPN, Multicast, OSPF, BGP, RSVP, LDP, Pseudo wires, L2VPN, L3VPN, MPLS TE, routing policies, GRE, and VXLAN • Experience supporting Juniper MX and Routing Director platforms • Mastery of WAN transport topologies and methodologies • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and network problems and manage JTAC cases through resolution • Ability to communicate case status updates and deliver root cause analysis • Knowledge of automation and DevOps; XML API, NETCONF, REST API, gRPC, Python, RPCs, PyEZ, ncclient, Ansible, Jinja2, Python/SLAX scripts • Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering discipline desired, or equivalent work experience • Juniper and/or other vendor certifications are a strong plus • Ability to support technology briefings and training sessions • Ability to work under pressure with customer engineers and JTAC • Ability to prioritize work and collaborate effectively
