📋 Description

• Manage the daily operations, employees, and functional-level activities of the Claims business unit • Gather and analyze operational data and complete reports on activities and trends • Assist with strategic and tactical operational planning • Independently review problem situations, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions • Review and streamline processes to improve service turnaround time, productivity, and quality • Coordinate business-unit workflow and optimize corporate resource use and customer satisfaction • Lead risk management and quality improvement initiatives and facilitate calibration sessions • Use work process studies, statistical analysis, and production assessments to establish adherence to quality standards and scorecards • Incorporate industry best practices into quality standards, policies, programs, and system changes • Ensure claims are processed according to appropriate risk selection principles • Coordinate training, identify training needs, project staffing requirements, and guide supervisors in coaching and counseling employees • Coordinate employee development and incentive initiatives • Identify and monitor business technology requirements and recommend solutions and enhancements • Lead assigned initiatives and support companywide projects through Quality Circles, Focus Groups, or other initiatives • Monitor operating expenses and contribute to the annual business-unit budget • Review legal files and coordinate with counsel for depositions and court hearings • Perform other related duties as required

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience • 6 years of job-related work experience • 4 years in a leadership, senior, or supervisory capacity • Broad knowledge of production management concepts, operating principles, and operational management methodology applicable to claims processing • Skill applying claims operations knowledge to complex or sensitive operational issues • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory and industry requirements related to insurance and claims processing • Knowledge of budgeting and expense control • Knowledge of employee relations • Claims administration or related industry experience preferred • Insurance or other industry designations preferred
