• Support a wide range of projects, including major broadcast events, Utilities customers, and refinery turnaround teams • Provide specialized broadcast power support for live sports and media productions with networks such as ESPN, NBC, and CBS • Install, commission, service, and repair generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or OFA systems • Install and commission for Events Services and other complex broadcast projects • Troubleshoot equipment failures on Events Services projects and in service centers • Serve as a primary client-facing representative on-site and communicate with broadcast technical managers • Calculate nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements • Complete minor repairs and major overhauls on time, to standard, and within agreed budgets • Read and comprehend electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals • Maintain and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and other required regulations • Interface with a remote operations center to prevent failures and support proactive notifications and compliance
• Able to travel extensively, up to 75%, and be away for extended periods • High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience • 5+ years of experience working on power generators, commercial HVAC equipment, and chillers, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs • Demonstrated experience supporting broadcast power for live events and familiarity with major sports networks’ broadcast site operations • Experience calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for professional interaction with broadcast technical managers and high-profile clients • Professional appearance and well-spoken demeanor • May be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card based on customer requirements • Valid driver’s license • Ability to move or lift objects typically less than 75 lbs. • Availability to work assigned schedules, travel to work locations when needed, and remain on standby outside regularly scheduled shifts • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods and traverse uneven terrain • Functional range of motion for safe work from ground/floor level to full overhead level • Finger dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and functional grip strength for safely handling tools, stair railings, and ladders • Ability to pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, including lifting 60 lbs., pushing/pulling 80 lbs., carrying 60 lbs., climbing stairs and ladders, climbing while carrying 15-lb. objects, stooping, kneeling, and squatting
