📋 Description

• Own and drive complex, cross-functional localization programs from strategy through execution, serving as the single point of accountability for technical localization operations • Translate strategic priorities into executable technical roadmaps and surface tradeoffs early • Design, innovate, and implement scalable localization solutions using AI and machine translation to improve quality, cost, and delivery efficiency • Shape Airbnb’s technical localization direction and influence long-term technology roadmaps with localization leadership and internationalization engineering partners • Manage technical relationships and integration solutions with external Language Service and Technology providers • Drive continuous improvement in localization processes, automation, and quality frameworks at scale • Partner across engineering, product, localization operations, leadership, and external vendors

🎯 Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in Technical Program Management or Product Management • Strong track record delivering global, technically complex solutions and programs independently • Deep domain knowledge in localization and internationalization • Experience implementing end-to-end localization solutions or integrating AI-driven tools such as machine translation engines, LLMs, or AI-driven content evaluation systems • Strong technical fluency, including language technology APIs and machine translation pipelines for localization and content processing • Ability to drive innovation and influence technical roadmaps with business owners, internal users, engineering, product, and external partners • Outstanding communication and cross-functional collaboration skills • Ability to distill complex technical and AI/ML concepts into clear, actionable narratives for non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership • Experience partnering directly with senior leadership as a strategic advisor • Must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred, not required
