• Evaluate clinical compliance and quality across all aspects of clinical operations • Oversee and coordinate local orientation and recurrent continuing education for clinical crew members in the assigned region • Develop and assist with scenario and clinical content for new hires and recurrent clinical teammates • Mentor clinicians placed on clinical education plans • Coordinate activities to achieve and maintain accreditation and reaccreditation • Participate in air medical research • Lead new employee orientation, including schedules and base assignments • Provide leadership and mentoring to orientees and preceptors, including area-specific training on local protocols and procedures • Collaborate with RCEM and RCD on new employees’ clinical preceptorship • Maintain regional education resources for flight crews to improve clinical quality • Teach and evaluate clinical competency in simulation labs, invasive labs, and other learning technology programs • Lead content development and continuing education for accrediting, regulating, and credentialing compliance • Support management decisions affecting clinical practice and develop educational programming for new and evolving care programs • Assist in developing policies and procedures that maintain clinical quality • Develop simulation and learning technology scenarios to improve clinical competency • Evaluate teammate performance using objective, evidence-based assessment tools and statistical analysis • Assess regional educational requirements, including didactic, clinical, certification, specialty equipment, and training needs • Lead annual competency training, protocol testing, and initial training for new equipment and procedures • Assist in revising medical standards and guidelines • Assist with region-specific guidance for the Training Blueprint • Participate in committees and workgroups to affect change in patient care • Perform other duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN); and five or more years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience • Four or more years previous flight experience • 2 years or more education/instructor experience • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of collaboration at all levels • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and strong attention to detail • Experience in high-fidelity simulation is preferred • Subject matter expertise in one or more of: ventilation, airway management, mechanical circulatory devices, resuscitation, high-risk obstetrics, pediatrics, neonatal management • Ability to participate in and rotate administrator on call for specialty equipment and high-risk patient populations • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Proficient in Smartsheet or other software as a service (SaaS) • Current Flight Nurse or Flight Paramedic Specialty certification compliant with CAMTS standards • CFRN or FP-C required • Minimum of one current instructor card, such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, PHTLS, ITLS, TNCC, or TNATC • Must obtain instructor status for all AHA-required courses (BLS, ACLS, PALS) within 3 months of hire
