📋 Description

• Design, build, and optimize secure Azure Virtual Desktop environments for Codex-enabled development and virtual desktop modernization • Engineer AVD host pools, session hosts, images, scaling plans, application delivery, and user profiles • Create secure desktop patterns for Codex access, including network segmentation, firewall rules, browser controls, and developer-tool controls • Implement and support FSLogix, Entra ID, Intune, profile storage, image lifecycle, and monitoring integrations • Plan and execute Citrix transition activities, performance validation, capacity planning, and user acceptance testing • Troubleshoot performance, sign-in, profile, application, network, and graphics issues across the AVD stack • Produce deployment standards, operational runbooks, and technical knowledge transfer for steady-state support • Direct cross-team programs, perform advanced tuning, implement high availability/failover architectures, lead audits, plan growth, and manage budgets • Lead the engineering team, develop talent, resolve conflicts, and communicate with senior leadership and stakeholders • Provide high-level consulting to leadership, build roadmaps, negotiate vendor contracts, and sponsor innovation initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of endpoint, virtual desktop, or Windows infrastructure engineering experience • Hands-on AVD design and implementation experience with pooled and personal desktop patterns • Strong knowledge of FSLogix, Windows 11, Entra ID, Intune, Azure networking, and profile-storage design • Experience with image engineering, application packaging, performance tuning, and monitoring • Ability to work independently in a secure, highly controlled enterprise environment • Citrix migration experience (nice to have) • IGEL, thin-client, GPU-enabled desktop, or Azure NetApp Files experience (nice to have) • Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty certification (nice to have)
