• Coordinate cross-divisional activities across OCFO, serving as an integrator who bridges workflow gaps and keeps stakeholders aligned on shared priorities • Assess operational challenges within OCFO divisions and develop actionable recommendations to improve efficiency, standardization, and execution • Support year-end close activities, enterprise financial system operations including FBMS and S4HANA, and other high-volume financial management cycles • Facilitate modernization initiatives by identifying opportunities to reduce manual steps through SharePoint-driven workflows, Power Apps forms, and AI-enabled document generation tools • Strengthen OCFO's AI-readiness posture by surfacing use cases where automation and intelligent tools can improve cost, speed, and accuracy across financial operations • Enable data-driven decision-making by improving analytic capability and providing OCFO leadership with timely, reliable program visibility • Coordinate with bureaus, regional offices, policy teams, audit partners, and external oversight bodies to meet recurring and emergent operational requirements • Work directly with OCFO leadership to improve visibility, solve operational problems, and advance modernization initiatives across accounting, financial reporting, acquisitions, grants, and internal assessment functions
• Demonstrated experience in program management, including coordinating complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives within a large organizational environment • Ability to operate independently and manage program management responsibilities across multiple organizational divisions simultaneously • Experience aligning new processes and initiatives with strategic organizational priorities • Familiarity with federal financial management environments, including compliance requirements and financial operations cycles • Proficiency or working knowledge of low-code automation tools such as SharePoint workflows, Power Apps, or similar platforms • Strong communication and coordination skills to engage effectively with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners • Ability to work fully remote with rare travel (less than 5%) to Reston, VA, Washington, DC, or other Indian Affairs sites as needed • Prior experience supporting federal financial management agencies, particularly within the Department of the Interior, Indian Affairs, or comparable bureau-level environments • Hands-on experience with AI readiness, robotic process automation (RPA), or intelligent automation initiatives within a government or regulated enterprise setting • Familiarity with federal financial systems such as FBMS or SAP S4HANA • Background supporting audit engagements, financial reporting cycles, or acquisitions and grants management programs • Experience working across matrixed or enterprise-wide organizational structures where influence without direct authority is essential to driving results
