📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations using evidence-based assessment tools • Diagnose and treat mental health conditions including anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, eating disorders, OCD, substance use disorders, ADHD, and personality disorders • Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychiatric medications in accordance with clinical guidelines and state regulations • Assess treatment effectiveness, side effects, and patient adherence • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans with the interdisciplinary clinical team • Coordinate care with therapists and other healthcare providers, including appropriate referrals • Provide patient education on diagnoses, treatment options, and prescribed medications • Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough clinical documentation • Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support continuous clinical excellence in a virtual care environment

🎯 Requirements

• Current Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification • Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in applicable states • Multistate licensure preferred, with primary clinical focus on Maryland (MD), Virginia (VA), and Washington, DC • Minimum of two (2) years of experience practicing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner • Strong clinical knowledge of psychiatric disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches • Demonstrated proficiency in psychiatric medication management • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport in a virtual care setting • Commitment to delivering compassionate, culturally responsive, and patient centered care • Comfort with telehealth technologies and remote clinical workflows • Availability for fulltime clinical practice preferred; contractor arrangements may be considered based on experience and organizational need • Active licensure, DEA registration, and prescribing authority in all states where patients are served • Responsibility for maintaining all required credentials and complying with applicable state and federal regulations
