📋 Description

• Lead the use of data and advanced analytics to drive decisions within Auto Claims • Develop, execute, and manage machine learning predictive modeling algorithms • Code and develop tools that use machine learning/predictive modeling for business decisions • Search for and integrate structured and unstructured, internal and external data to improve modeling and machine learning results • Discover solutions to business problems using machine learning/predictive modeling • Manage projects of medium complexity • Provide mentoring and development support to junior data scientists • Build models addressing business needs and improve data accuracy and data-driven decisions • Review, evaluate, and communicate modeling techniques and results to teams, leadership, and stakeholders • Collaborate on data and complex business problems and partner to implement machine learning/predictive models • Research, evaluate, and apply emerging modeling techniques and technologies • Plan and break down machine learning, predictive modeling, and development projects into tasks and ensure deadlines are met

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience • 3 or more years of experience as a Data Scientist • Experience developing complex statistical and machine learning techniques • Experience with predictive modeling and machine learning algorithms • Experience coding and developing machine learning/predictive modeling tools • Ability to research, evaluate, and apply emerging modeling techniques and technologies • Project planning experience for moderately complex machine learning/predictive modeling or development projects • Ability to travel up to 10% to a regional office for team meetings • Must have a dedicated, private workspace when working from home • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload • Subject to a background investigation • Position unavailable to residents of California, Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, or Puerto Rico • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
