📋 Description

• Represent insured individuals and Allstate in bodily injury, property damage, and other insurance defense litigation matters • Prepare for and conduct hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions • Prepare and present pre- and post-trial motions • Assist colleagues in resolving calendar conflicts • Counsel business clients on day-to-day legal matters • Manage projects and coordinate collaboration among legal teams • Monitor and evaluate new laws, regulations, and case law • Identify and summarize relevant legal issues • Collaborate with other areas of the Law and Regulation department • Provide proactive advice to business units on the impact of new laws • Monitor legal representation

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctorate • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar • 4+ years of proven litigation experience or strong litigation-type skills • Ability to develop case strategies, conduct legal research, and advocate effectively • Ability to manage complex disputes and work effectively under pressure • First or second chair jury trial experience is preferred • Proven experience with insurance defense is preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LexisNexis (preferred), and internet research • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills • Capacity to manage a substantial caseload • Comfortable working in a remote environment • Must submit to a background investigation • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position • Dedicated, private home workspace with appropriate desk and seating • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload • Valid photo identification for the virtual interview, except internal candidates
