📋 Description

• Investigate suspected insurance fraud and conduct detailed case reviews • Handle complex Auto Bodily Injury fraud investigations, including staged accidents, claim misrepresentation, and organized fraud schemes • Support Homeowners claims investigations, including roof, wind, flood, and other weather-related losses • Enter SIU claim data into multiple SIU systems • Review investigations with fraud outcomes to validate whether denial is appropriate • Update files with investigation outcomes and return files to MCO for further handling when fraud is not established or evidence is insufficient • Conduct complex online data searches, research, and evaluation • Conduct complex site inspections at body shops, medical clinics, loss locations, and similar sites • Conduct scene investigations and surveillance as needed • Validate information obtained through investigations and follow up on possible leads • Summarize documents and enter claim-system notes documenting evaluations and decisions • Use analytic tools and SIU field intelligence to identify complex claims and support fraud and damages evidence • Research and respond to complex customer communications, concerns, conflicts, and issues

🎯 Requirements

• Experienced SIU Investigator with several years of Special Investigations Unit experience at an insurance carrier • Strong foundation in claims handling • Strong analytical and investigative skills • Excellent judgment • Ability to manage high-impact cases from start to finish • Experience with Auto Bodily Injury investigations • Experience supporting Homeowners claims, including roof, wind, and flood damage investigations • Critical thinking • Decision making • Evidence gathering • Fraud investigations • Insurance claims knowledge • Insurance fraud investigation skills • Investigative skills • Candidates must possess authorization to work in the United States • Applicants with an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments before onboarding and cannot hold outside appointments during employment • Applicants with a resident producer license seeking an adjuster role must surrender that license when instructed • Work-from-home setup requires a dedicated private workspace, appropriate desk and seating, and reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
