📋 Description

• Ensure timely and accurate income statement recognition in accordance with US GAAP • Own key areas of the monthly COGS close, including cost allocations and related accruals • Prepare monthly accruals and reversals for content, technology, and other vendor costs • Maintain COGS summary analysis for manager review • Prepare intercompany entries and reclasses across multiple entities • Reconcile accrued expense and payable accounts, and prepare flux explanations for the monthly close review • Prepare journal entries in conformity with established procedures • Prepare and review analysis of various balance sheet and P&L accounts • Prepare month-end journal entries and support the monthly close process for entities under the AlphaSense umbrella • Liaise with internal departments to ensure monthly transactions are properly booked • Assess internal control effectiveness and design processes and controls for emerging business activities • Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities, including AI-enabled workflows • Lead delivery of accounting tasks and projects • Assist with quarterly, annual, statutory, and sales tax audit requests

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5+ years of accounting experience, preferably at a SaaS or technology company • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance • Experience with a Big 4 or public accounting firm preferred • Ability to operate independently and manage multiple deadlines during a fast-paced month end close process • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to partner with FP&A and other stakeholders • Advanced Excel skills required • Working knowledge of US GAAP, including accrual accounting, multi-entity, and intercompany accounting • Exposure to usage-based or technology vendor costs a plus • Hands-on experience with NetSuite and FloQast or similar ERP and close management tool preferred
