• Commission water treatment plants and ensure process equipment and control systems perform to specifications • Act as construction liaison between design engineering and construction during plant erection • Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives on installation, operation, calibration, repair and maintenance at customer sites • Manage outside vendors and suppliers to meet project specifications and performance requirements • Develop standard operating procedures and log sheets for equipment operation • Develop and execute commissioning schedules and performance plans • Develop and deliver classroom and hands-on training for process equipment operation and maintenance • Participate in model reviews, engineering design meetings and safety-in-design reviews • Perform control system factory acceptance tests with clients and designated representatives • Perform after-market services including site and equipment inspections and operator training • Maintain safety standards and ensure work meets technical requirements • Prepare technical reports for customer records and future outages • Perform water treatment chemistry calculations, test reliability and validity analysis, budget analysis, and T&M contract cost monitoring • Resolve alignment issues and calculate plumb adjustments using plane geometry and chemistry formulas • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions about operational and design effectiveness • Perform PLC/HMI activities including control system I/O checkout, system networking, program upload/download, ladder logic and function-block troubleshooting, and simple logic writing
• Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Water Treatment field • Strong focus on customer relationships • Knowledge of or demonstrated ability to learn VEOLIA WTS equipment and process startup, including RO/ED, Ion Exchange and Thermal technologies • Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with project teams • Basic water treatment chemistry knowledge • Knowledge of structural, mechanical, hydraulics, electrical, piping, welding specifics and civil notations • Strong oral and written communication skills • Valid passport • Ability to travel extensively (70-80%, approximately 250 days/year) throughout North America and other places in the world • Valid driver's license • Pre-employment drug screening required
