📋 Description

• Commission water treatment plants by ensuring process equipment and control systems perform according to specifications • Serve as construction liaison between design engineering and construction during water treatment plant erection • Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customer sites • Manage outside vendors and suppliers to ensure services and supplies meet project specifications and performance requirements • Develop standard operating procedures and log sheets to document and monitor equipment operation • Develop and execute commissioning schedules and performance plans • Develop and execute classroom and hands-on training for process equipment operation and maintenance • Participate in model reviews, engineering design meetings, and safety-in-design reviews • Perform control system factory acceptance tests with clients and designated representatives • Perform aftermarket services, including site and equipment inspections and operator training • Maintain safety standards while executing work • Prepare technical reports for customer records and future outages • Apply mathematical operations to water treatment chemistry calculations, test reliability and validity, budget analysis, and monitoring time-and-material contract costs • Resolve alignment issues and calculate plumb adjustments using plane geometry and chemistry formulas • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions • Perform PLC/HMI activities and troubleshoot control systems

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Water Treatment field • Strong focus on customer relationships • Knowledge of or ability to learn equipment and process startup related to VEOLIA WTS products and systems, including RO/ED, Ion Exchange and Thermal technologies • Ability to work independently and remotely with project teams • Basic water treatment chemistry knowledge • Knowledge of structural, mechanical, hydraulics, electrical, piping, welding specifics and civil notations • Strong oral and written communication skills • Valid passport • Ability to travel extensively (70-80%, approximately 250 days/year) throughout North America and to other places in the world • Valid driver's license • Training in Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures preferred • Experience in commissioning, construction, or services desired • Mechanical experience and know-how, including reading and interpreting drawings • Ability to plan multiple priorities • Ability to adapt quickly to new problems, clients, and situations • Operating experience with water treatment equipment including reverse osmosis, Ion Exchange Systems, Hot Water Loops and EDI • Ability to perform PLC/HMI activities, including control system IO checkout, system networking, program upload/download, ladder logic, function blocks, troubleshooting code, and writing simple logic • Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screening
